As you may know, Croatia is having such luck that they are undefeated (winning streak) and made it to the finals. But how? Is it just luck, or is it skills and power. Who knows how Croatia really is. Will they win the cup? Well, lets find out.
Group Stage: Croatia was undefeated in the group stage making every match they played a win. Their first match was a win against Nigeria 2-0, keeping a clean sheet. Their second match was against Argentina 3-0, surprisingly also keeping a clean sheet. Then a 2-1 victory over Iceland only conceding 1 goal in the entire group. Incredible.
Then came the knockout stages. Croatia's first match was against Denmark. Croatia was struggling a bit but then came penalties. Croatia's goalkeeper making wonderful saves only conceding 2 goals so far. Then came their match against Russia. The hosts. In that match also going into extra time and won in penalties, Conceding 4 goals so far. Then they faced England in the semi's 1-1 forcing them to go into extra time and in the second half of extra time they scored 2-1 making them only conceding 5 goals in the tournament so far. Also making it to the finals.
How are they so good? Well, I have been watching their games and goal/chance creation replays and I noticed that each time the other team starts attacking and loses the ball, Croatia pulls men forward and has much pace and starts passing and counter attacks leading to goals. Like in the Croatia and England game, in the second half of extra time, England attacked and they lost the ball and then Croatia made a such good counter attack and they scored. So Croatia's tactic is as soon as they retrieve the ball, pull many men forward and counter the other team. What a nation. Good luck Croatia on the FIFA World Cup Finals :D
